This painting was a commission for Sunny Sands Swim School. I was asked to create a painting featuring a manta ray (the schools mascot) so I decided to paint two manta rays in the color scheme of their logo. The manta rays represent a teacher and a student, showing off their skills for an audience of starfish. I like that the relationship between mentor and mentee can often brighten a dark and desolate environment.
