Acrylic on bristol paper (14" x 17")
The golden spiral (a.k.a. Fibonacci spiral) is a geometric concept in which a spiral expands at the same rate as the golden ratio.
This type of spiral frequently occurs in nature in things like pinecones, flowers, pineapples, and much more.
I find the juxtaposition of math and nature interesting, so I decided to depict this spiral on a loose abstract background.
